I am going to host a Michigan Big Buck Contest!

This will be the 1st Annual MichiganBowHuntingBlog big buck contest. This year we will score the kills using the Pope and Young Score Card.

The prizes are 20 dollar gift certificate for Bass Pro Shops.

I am trying to get a sponsor to donate some prizes (anyone that wants to donate or know of a viable sponsor should email greg@du4connections.com)

RULES:

    - The deer must be taken with a legal Michigan Combination tag or Archery tag
    - A picture of the deer and completed kill tag must be posted
    - The hunter must register on the MichiganBowHuntingBlog.com forum
    - Contest dates are from October 1, 2009 through January 1, 2010
    - You can submit a second buck if you have a combo tag, we will score the bigger of the 2
    - Any legal weapon – I did not exclude guns or cross bows, so they are part of the contest

As of now, I am paying for the prizes. So help me out and click on my google ads!

I was born and raised in Northern Michigan. I have a passion for Hunting and fishing. Bow Hunting Whitetails and Fishing for Smallmouth Bass are my favorites.

Score up… my first buck is hanging. Nice six point, he won’t score very high, but he is in first place as of now!

The RAGE broadheads made short order of him…

Still looking to see more competition. Make sure you send me the photos of your kills. I heard that Deerslayer took down a 6 pointer this weekend. Can’t wait to see more pics…

They sell a little gadget called the Rackulator, for 119.99 dollars. I never saw one, but I thought what a gimmick!

I think that I one-upped them, i built an excel sheet to calculate P&Y scores.

Try it out and let me know how you like it…
